Relaxing and Fun Counselors Office

Help me give my students ways to relax and feel comfortable in my counseling office. Students have been facing major stress and anxiety since the pandemic and deserve a relaxing place to talk story.

My Project

Aromatherapy can enhance focus, concentration, energy, or relaxation. By introducing subtle scents like lavender or peppermint, we aim to create an environment that supports improved memory retention and reduced anxiety, ultimately fostering a conducive atmosphere for learning. Depending on the meetings planned, I may use more relaxing scents for stressed students or energizing focusing scents for those that need to refocus on their studies.

Recognizing diverse learning styles, fidget toys serve as an effective tool for kinesthetic learners.

These toys provide a discreet outlet for excess energy, promoting better concentration and reducing restlessness. Additionally, fidget toys contribute to improved fine motor skills and offer a healthy stress-relief mechanism, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Many students struggle remembering their assignments and as a result, earn poor grades. Addressing the critical skills of organization and time management, planners empower students to set goals, manage their time effectively, and develop a sense of responsibility. By instilling organizational skills early on, we equip students with tools for success academically and in their future pursuits.
