I have a wonderful group of life long learners in my Mild/Moderate Special Ed class. There are 12 kids all with their own unique challenges. They range in disabilities from profound dyslexia to high functioning autism. I find my students to be brave and courageous in the classroom. They take risks everyday doing their best to learn the material which comes so easy for other kids. My kiddos have to work twice as hard and twice as long to learn basic skills. I use alternative seating to give them choices and help make their learning more comfortable.
With all the unique challenges these students face each day, having a relaxing and comfortable place to work is a great start to having success.
Using a Gone Bananas Lounging Bean Bag Chair allows students to relax and feel comfortable in the educational environment.
I encourage my students to get to know what works best for them that allows them to learn. So they can choose where, with whom and how they want to sit in the classroom.
For me growing up I did my best work in the morning with movie scores playing loudly. I could focus in that environment.
