Relax! School's Not So Bad!

Help me give my students flexible seating to be more focused and successful. They get restless in the hard chairs the school provides and having something softer to do their reading and studying in would benefit them.

My Project

Flexible seating empowers students to take control of their learning journey by selecting the options that fit them best. During independent study periods, they have the freedom to choose their preferred spot within the classroom. Presently, my students opt for various locations, including under their desks, at different tables, sitting under the tables with clipboards, or reclining on the floor with clipboards. Ensuring students' comfort is pivotal for fostering their motivation. I've observed remarkable transformations in my students when they have a say in their seating arrangements. They consistently demonstrate sound judgment in their choices, exhibit heightened engagement, and accomplish more tasks compared to traditional desk seating. They really enjoy sitting in the spot of their choosing when they have study hall or free reading time. I have noticed that students are far more productive and successful when they have a say on where they sit, especially during study hall.
