Relax, Reset and Self Regulate!

Help me give my students tools to self-regulate using sensory based tools such as a trampoline adaptive seating (i.e exercise ball, exercise peanut, bean bag).

My Students

Our school is located in a small, warm town in Massachusetts that is surrounded by beautiful trees and parks.

My integrated preschool class is made up of a variety of diverse learners who have a wide range of learning abilities.

With those needs, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are a fun, animated group who truly enjoy learning and working collaboratively with one another.

My Project

My three- to five-year-old students have lots of busy energy throughout their school day. Due to this, it is essential that these little learners have opportunities to learn how to release energy and self regulate.

Implementing alternative seating such as the exercise ball and exercise peanut will help them self-regulate and focus.

Sensory materials such as the trampoline will help increase low energy, and sensory fidgets will bring down high energy.

By making these tools available throughout the school day, my learners will be able to learn how to independently self-regulate at times when they feel overwhelmed or overstimulated.
