My three- to five-year-old students have lots of busy energy throughout their school day. Due to this, it is essential that these little learners have opportunities to learn how to release energy and self regulate. Implementing alternative seating such as the exercise ball and exercise peanut will help them self-regulate and focus. Sensory materials such as the trampoline will help increase low energy, and sensory fidgets will bring down high energy. By making these tools available throughout the school day, my learners will be able to learn how to independently self-regulate at times when they feel overwhelmed or overstimulated.
