Relax, Refresh, and Reconnect in the School Library!
Help me give my students a comfortable seating option for our school library with these chairs and tables. I can see them there now, sitting with a book, doing homework, relaxing, or catching up with their friends!
My students walk into our school library with excitement in their eyes. They can't wait to be able to let their imagination go wild in the library and maker space. You can see students taking apart and putting together computers, designing 3D models, constructing structures, learning circuitry, or playing board games. You will also see students curled up in the corner reading a book or asking me for a new book for them to read. It always puts a smile on my face when they come back to me after reading a book to tell me how much they loved a book.
The library has become a safe place where my students have an opportunity to experience so many different things and a place where I want them to feel comfortable and at home.
This project will provide our school library with comfortable library chairs and a coffee table to go in between them. The chairs are intended for library use, so they will last us for many years. We currently don't have very many options for a relaxing place to sit in our library. We have one area with an old study carrel that isn't being used, and I would love to remove it and create a place where my kids can sit and relax with a good book. This project will help make our library a more inviting place and encourage my students to sit for a bit and relax.
