My Project
My students are a great group of kiddos. However, like any young child, they don't always have the tools to calm down and reset. While we have a specific area for them to do this in, it does not entice them to want to go there. We do not have different "tools" to help them identify their emotions. Nor do we have manipulatives, or touchy-feely tools to help them calm down.
With the items in my project, they will have many different tools to help them build calm-down strategies that will help them not only in the classroom but in daily life.
I have requested a mystery box, cuddle toys, sorters, calming cubes, and other items.
