My Students

The scholars in my classroom are scholars that have learning, cognitive, and emotional disabilities.

They are students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade that are at least one grade level or more below grade level; our department serves approximately 20 scholars all with very diverse academic, social, emotional and behavior needs.

My Project

Life is hectic and has been upended for many of our students. They deserve a calm classroom environment in order to enable them to reset so they can return to learning. Setting a calm classroom with a comfy bean bag and light covers for the florescent lights will support my students who have unique sensory needs and unique social emotional needs. This space will enable them to relax and recharge so they can learn or return to learning! The lava aquarium is the perfect sound and scene for students to watch the floating fish and relax while they recharge.
