This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are within the autistic spectrum disorder at a high school setting. They are learning within a modify curriculum that accommodates to their own individual level and learning style. Many of them move around the class during the school day to complete their assignments and to work in small groups.
The bean bags will be in a specific part of the class that they will be able to seat, read and learn as a small group.
My students come from many different backgrounds and experiences and they work together very well. We read, write, discuss what they learn in class and practice mindfulness meditation. I make emphasis on creating an environment where we feel comfortable, we support each other and the class is conducive to learning.
