Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a small, perfect space for this couch in my library! Since taking a librarian position, I have been working very hard to create a comfortable and welcoming learning environment. It is critical that my students want to come to the library so I can help them love reading. I have purchased many items myself but could use a little help with furniture.

My students are loving "relax and read" time!

They have approximately 15 minutes at the end of each lesson to read the books they checked out. I bought several pillows that match my library jungle theme and some of the students lay on the carpet with a pillow to read. Now, I would like to add furniture, like this comfy couch, to the library. This couch would give them a space to sit comfortably while they read. I have around 600 students at my school who would be able to use the couch during their library time. Please help me make my library the best it can be!
