Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
You would not believe that a class full of 5 year olds would be considered mathematicians, but they are! My kindergarteners have a love for math!
My students love to explore, compute and problem solve.
We use various math tools in our class such as ten frames, geo boards, number lines and counters. The one thing that is missing that will really enhance our math exploration is REKENREKS! These tools will help us with addition and subtraction and even regrouping! We are so excited to try these new REKENREKS to deepen our math thinking!
