This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creating a classroom ecology that is a welcoming and safe space for my students is my new priority. I need to revamp my classroom. This makeover will provide an area for my ninth graders to take a break in a calm and relaxing area.
Traditional chairs and tables can be so boring!
These comfy bean bag chairs and soft round mats are perfect for some nice down time, which is much needed for ninth graders during a 90-minute-long class! They can take brain breaks and use fidgets, color in the adult coloring books, or read a book. Some might even enjoy laying on the soft rug- a nice escape from the hard "school" furniture.
I hope to transform the room into a space where students want to be. A space where they feel happy. This is just the beginning.
