Students instantly connected with it, finding comfort and joy in having a calming, space to unwind. It's a symbol of the positive atmosphere we're building together—one where every student feels valued and supported. I was touched to see how cute the students thought it was. 9th graders love stuffed animals too!\r\n\r\nThe new items in our chill space will serve as the perfect backdrop for several upcoming projects and the remainder of the year. Students will use the board games to enhance their teamwork and problem-solving skills, while the cozy rug and lamp will be used during group and individual work. Since we received the furniture and items for our room my students use it daily. My students take pride in the space, keeping it clean and presentable. The couch is used for both an alternate work space but also, and more frequently, a place for them to comfortably socialize with one another. They love the couch so much sometimes they will squeeze in together four at a time.\r\n\r\nI have found that having the living room space in the classroom has changed the atmosphere entirely. Algebra is a difficult subject, especially for my students with disabilities, and having an inviting, comfortable space has allowed them to feel more at ease.
