My Project

As a Mental Health Practitioner, I believe that every child deserves a safe and supportive learning environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. For many of my students, regulating their emotions and staying focused can be incredibly challenging. As a result, they may exhibit behaviors such as fidgeting, restlessness, or difficulty concentrating, which often disrupts the learning environment for them and their peers.

Research has shown that providing students with access to tools such as fidgets, stress balls, and sensory items can have a positive impact on their ability to regulate their emotions and focus on their schoolwork.

These tools provide students with a constructive outlet for their energy and aids in managing feelings of anxiety or frustration. Furthermore, emotion regulation tools can help them learn how to identify and manage their emotions in a healthy way, students can build resilience and coping strategies that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Unfortunately, with a limited budget, I do not have the resources to purchase these items for my classroom. This is why I am seeking assistance through this scholarship. With your support, I will be able to provide my students with the tools they need to regulate their emotions and succeed academically.

In conclusion, fostering emotional regulation is essential for creating a positive and productive classroom. By providing my students with access to fidgets and emotion regulation tools, I hope to support their social and emotional development and set them up for success both inside and outside of the classroom.
