My Project

Kindergarten is a magical and foundational time for young learners. It’s filled with discovery, growth, and joyful experiences that help children build curiosity and a love of learning. Students begin forming relationships, developing independence, and acquiring the basic academic and social-emotional skills that will support them throughout their education.

At the same time, a lot is asked of kindergarteners.

They are expected to manage their emotions, follow routines, work cooperatively, and stay focused for longer stretches—all while adjusting to a structured learning environment, often for the first time. These demands can be overwhelming, even for the most eager learners.

To help students succeed, I need effective tools and books that support self-regulation, mindfulness, and readiness to learn. Whether it’s sensory items or engaging read-alouds that teach social skills, having the right resources can make all the difference in helping students feel safe, focused, and prepared to thrive in the classroom.
