Regulated and Nourished Children Make for Great Students!

Help me give my students a fully equipped sensory room to help them stay regulated throughout the day!

My Project

Our student population consists of 40% students with neurodivergent needs! All of our students need healthy ways to get their wiggles out. We have the opportunity to make one of our classrooms into a sensory room, and are in need of some things to make it more student centered! We need a swing, a tunnel, and a tent to make it more regulating for those students.

We know that all students benefit from having break spaces that help them regulate throughout the day.

Our sensory room would provide that for all students within our school. Having a safe space to let off some steam is vital for a safe and engaging school environment.

Lastly, our school is a Title 1 school. Many students who come to our school are on free and reduced lunch. Every child is growing and often needs more than just breakfast and lunch throughout the day. We need snacks to help our students regulate and meet their sensory needs. Food helps our students be ready to learn and succeed!
