This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting your support in providing snacks for my students, many of whom are currently living in shelters. These students often come to school with little more than the clothes on their backs, and while we do our best to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, their basic needs, including nutrition, are often not being met.
Having snacks available throughout the day will make a significant difference for my students.
It will help them stay energized, focused, and ready to learn, ensuring that hunger doesn't become a barrier to their academic success. Simple snacks like granola bars, fruit, and crackers can provide the fuel they need to get through the day, especially during long stretches of time between meals.
Many of my students face challenges outside of school that can make it difficult for them to focus on their work. By providing access to snacks, we can help reduce their stress and create an environment where they can focus on learning rather than worrying about when they'll eat next.
Your donation would not only fill their bellies but also give them a sense of stability and care that is so important, especially during such a challenging time in their lives.
