Lunar New Year is upon us and as I teach my students about the Asian culture, traditions, and celebrations, we also talk about the similarities and differences in our traditions. One of the similarities is setting goals for ourself, starting fresh, or making changes for the new year.
We need a new water dispenser so students can stay hydrated as we start this new year.
Our floor doesn't have water dispensers, only water fountains that are more than 20 years old that aren't able to refill water bottles.
Many of my students want to be healthier in this year, and Lunar New Year is another reset for students who have already started to forget. We also need copper tape and LED diodes as students will be making paper lanterns and we need more supplies to make their paper circuit lights during their engineering design projects.
