Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are fantastic but come from hard circumstances. Many come to school without food or the resources they need to be at their best. Covid-19 magnified the need for teachers to be more than teachers, we need to help with the whole child, and that includes making sure students have all the proper resources they need to be at their best to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. The Students will use the posters, pens, and markers, for brainstorming ideas, and for group projects, and for independent research times. The Snacks will help give them nourishment to keep going, and rewards for when they participate in games and review activities. By creating inquiry based lessons the students will show how the foundations of our country were not just thrown together but designed by a higher power.
By providing the kids with a safe learning environment and the snacks and supplies they need to keep going, I am helping build the community.
