Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Next year, I will be taking on a brand-new advisory class. As my old students graduate, they leave behind some very well-loved books that were very popular! Every morning, students come in to read for 30 minutes and I would love to to give them new copies of books as well as some new series that students have been requesting.

Having a wide variety of new and interesting books allows students to find a series or book they love and hopefully find a love of reading as well.

I hope to help them find books that they can connect with and explore. Many of my students have expressed that reading is difficult for them -- my goal is that they find a story that makes reading fun and engaging!

I hope to support each student over the next year, and I am excited to return to the classroom in the fall with new literature!
