Refresh for My AP Statistics and Geometry Classes

My Project

Every year my classes get to engage in activities that help them solidify the mathematical concepts they're learning in my AP Statistics or Geometry class. These activities require a lot of supplies such as colored beads, candies (to mimic samples and populations), colored pencils, and more.

We model a lot of a real life situations with simulations involving beads and candies in AP Statistics.

The activities I implement help the students formalize the concepts we cover in class so it's not just regurgitation of formulas or definitions. In addition to AP Statistics, we do a great deal of drawing and labelling in Geometry which is why I've requested colored pencils for the students to use when they're marking and labelling angles and sides. This project is meant to refresh my supplies for students as my AP Statistics classes have grown from 2 last year to 3 classes this year.
