This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a dedicated National Board Certified Education Specialist working in a high school environment. Our Title I school serves a diverse population, and I am inspired by the determination of my students as they navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges. In my Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class, we have had the opportunity to engage in various activities, including joining the yearbook staff, participating in school events, volunteering in the community, and serving on the Associated Student Body (ASB). My students thrive in movement and hands-on experiences, and I am truly honored to be their teacher, striving to encourage them to surpass their greatest expectations.

These bars will improve my students mental health becasue eating provides essential nutrients for brain function and mood regulation.

A healthy diet supports the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, reduces inflammation, and promotes a healthy gut-brain axis.

These healthy granola bars will add a needed kick into their morning or afternoon. After they take a quick break, we will move forward with direct instruction. Students will be focused and ready to learn. Thank you for making this dream a reality.
