My Students
Nearly 95% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch, and many of my students experience challenges from living in a high-poverty community. However, my 21st-century students will have their basic needs met.
For my students, opting out is not an option.
They are always putting forth their best. The student population is very diverse. For instance, they all have different learning styles and interests, and some students are from outside of the U.S. They have a variety of experiences to contribute to the school and classroom community, and it is necessary to have the appropriate materials and items to meet the needs of every unique student.
My Project
These materials will make a difference for my students because they will have the resources for success. Students will be able to use the white boards during whole group and small group to respond to questions. Also, the students will use the folders to organize and collect resources that can be used throughout the year.
These resources will help my students to stay on task and to strengthen their academic skills.
The sentence frames and sentence starters will be available for my students when they are writing their essays or short constructed responses. Moreover, the sentence frames and sentence starters will be used throughout the year to encourage students to use the correct academic language and to use more complex sentence structures.
