My students need to master their math facts in order to access the fourth grade math curriculum. Reflex Math is a fun, engaging way to help my students feel successful this year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hard-working, curious, and eager-to-learn are just a few of the ways I would describe my fourth grade students. Some of these wonderful students come from low-income homes and are not able to access resources that are so crucial to their learning.
I would love nothing more than to provide my students with opportunities to dive deeper into our math curriculum by giving them access to an engaging mathematics website.
With use of this site, my students can become masters of math facts. They will be confident moving forward throughout the year as we learn and explore more challenging math skills.
My Project
Reflex Math is a wonderful fact fluency site that will help my students be successful with fourth grade math concepts. Reflex math is an engaging resource that will motivate my students to practice their facts. If my students master their math facts, they will be able to focus on the new skills being taught rather then being caught up on fact memorization. Reflex math is a fun tool that my students will be able to access daily because we are fortunate enough to have 1:1 Chromebooks for each student.
Mastery of fact fluency is a foundational skill that my students need, and Reflex Math would help them achieve it.
Not only is Reflex Math a wonderful tool for my students, but it provides reports for me as their classroom teacher. I can use these reports to guide my instruction and to help students who need more of my attention in certain areas.
