My Project

My students would use this rug for reflecting, reading, whole group instruction, center time, and more! This rug would act as a safe space for my students. It would be the center of my classroom and a place students can always go. We will start and end each day on the rug and visit the rug many times in between. The rug would make our classroom have a more cozy "home" feel and hopefully make my students feel more comfortable each day. The handheld vacuum is small enough for students to use to clean up everyday messes. They would learn responsibility and how to care for their own space. They would be responsible for cleaning up messes, helping out classmates and taking ownership of their classroom. My students would be so excited to have a new spot in our classroom to call their own.
