My Students

My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.

My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.

I want to grow with them!

Our school is over 60% free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.

My Project

Do you ever have a shopping list on your fridge that just keeps expanding? Maybe you haven't had a chance to run to the store, or the items aren't super pressing, but you keep coming back to that list and noticing that you REALLY do need to go to the store and get those items. Well, this project is just that.

This is our classroom shopping list.

These are items that we've done without, but would rather not have to do without.

The gum is used during tests and boy do we like having tests, plus it really keeps us focused on what we are doing. The ceiling clips are for our curtain that hides our shelves of resources and keeps our classroom looking clean. The kinetic sand, hot glue sticks, pom poms, pipe cleaners, and Osmo set are for our MakerSpace stations. The microscope slides are for our microscope that we just received through DonorsChoose.org. We are excited to look at lots of samples!

The book, You're All Kinds of Wonderful has been on our classroom wish list from day one. The baking sheet and magnets are for our new writing process check-in system that we hope to start after break! The lights are to replace the two that have broken. We use these for quiet transitions to the bathroom during work time. And, last but not least is the two minute timer. We have a one and three minute timer but are always missing the two minute one.
