Reeds, Repairs, and Technology for Band

Help me give my students clip-on tuners, an UltraStudio Recorder 3G, stick bags, and reeds for success.

My Project

My students are amazing and they work very hard to be successful. This project addresses a few of the things they lack to reach the next level of success.

This project is divided into three categories.

The first couple of items on the list meets the needs of the saxophone students. Saxophonists need quality reeds in order to function. These reeds will make it so that when students cannot purchase reeds, they still can have access to what they need to succeed.

The second category of request is for repairs and maintenance. Although I am not a certified repair technician, I know enough basic maintenance to keep instruments functional, thus saving both the school and students money. The spring hook requested will give me one more tool that will keep instruments in school and functioning. The stick bags requested will be used to keep our bass drum and glockenspiel mallets in good condition.

The third category is technology. The tuners/metronomes that I have requested will give students opportunities to take their playing to the next level. Students will be able to see how their tuning is and will be able to make adjustments. As students practice individually or in small groups the metronome will help them to stay together. I also requested some equipment that will allow us to live stream our concerts. I've been live streaming our concerts for years, but our old equipment is outdated and is no longer compatible with my computer. The requested equipment will make it so that families and loved ones from across the world can show their support to my students.
