This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need reeds. With so many students, this means we go through a box every month. They need reeds to help them learn their music.

Without reeds, their instruments cannot make any sound.

When we run out of reeds, some students are only able to minimally participate. With so many clarinet and saxophone players in our group, we go through many boxes of reeds in our class.

This many should last us several months, hopefully until the end of the year. This would give us a chance to work on tone and intonation with every person, not just brass and flute players.
