This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are currently, we are using Eastman reeds and they are not the greatest for tone but I would like my students and future students to upgrade to using Vandoren reeds.

As a clarinet player myself I have tried out the reeds and found that they are not consistent and that they tend to make notes lean on the sharp side.

I have also had a few students complain about the Eastman reeds as well wit struggling

Vandoren blue box reeds are very reliable and provide a better tone quality. With Vandoren reeds, I can start teaching the students how to shape reeds and make them more playable, and with Eastman, they are not very good to begin with.
