My Students

Help me help my students save the planet the DISNEY way - with fun and lots of smiles!

We are a Title 1 school located in a small town in East Texas.

Unfortunately, most of our students are living in poverty and have little access to technology. We also have a large number of Dyslexic and ELL (English Language Learner) students. Although they face many challenges, our students come to school eager to learn and manage to achieve their academic goals.

My Project

I am requesting a Chromebook for our classroom for two reasons. First, our district is implementing Google Apps and Gmail for all students. A computer in our classroom would give my students more practice using these awesome programs. Secondly, we would like to begin a recycling program. A laptop would allow me to introduce my students to recycling, including what to recycle, why to recycle, and how to recycle.

We need to make recycling an everyday habit for our students.

My students are in need of basic computer to begin our recycling program. This computer would serve a dual purpose by giving my disadvantaged students more time using the technology that has become commonplace among their peers.
