Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our community is located in Wyoming. The parents in the community work hard to help their children learn and grow. The first grade children in my class are wonderful learners and they are hard-working. This year, the children have learned more about building classroom community and including everyone. Together, the children and I are building a classroom community where everyone feels included.
My Project
Students always sit on the carpet or at their desks. The lights in the classroom often glare on the board and students are unable to see. When students are sitting in their carpet spots, they have a difficult time looking at the TV because of the glare. Teaching and student learning at the carpet is difficult. Students are working more at their desks; however, we still have to turn the lights off because of the glare. Turning the lights off is not always the best learning choice. These light covers will dull the bright lights in the classroom and reduce the glare on the whiteboards and the TV. Students will be able to see easier and all students will be able to sit back at the carpet.
