My Students

Year after year, I'm blessed and lucky enough to teach and spend my day with the sweetest kiddos alive! I teach in a high-poverty, low socioeconomic community in southern Mississippi. Our teachers are the best and the kiddos are just so awesome.

Each day, my students step off the bus ready and so excited to learn.

In my classroom, I try to make learning as fun as possible, but we do not always have the supplies and materials that we need to succeed.

My Project

This project is all about teaching my little firsties how they can have a positive impact on Earth by reducing, reusing, and recycling!

Did you know that only 34% of Americans recycle on a regular basis?

This is shocking and I want to teach my little ones the wonderful benefits of recycling.

For this project we are requesting fun toys that are made from recycled materials. How fun will it be to show students how a plastic bottle can be transformed into a new toy for our classroom? These toys include recycle trucks and garbage trucks that they can role play with. We are also requesting a TPT gift card to purchase digital Google classroom activities about recycling and several books such as, Don't Throw That Away and The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle. These titles will help us better understand this very important topic.
