This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Let's go Green! I am looking to make my classroom a 'greener' environment. I am a first grade teacher in an inner city school district who wants to help the environment.
I currently use an easel not meant for school-aged children. The easel that is being used everyday is big, metal and does not have a back! The chart paper that I use is difficult to balance on the stand. Often time I find myself taking off the chart paper and learning on the floor to write.
I am looking to teach my students to help the environment as well! What a great way to do that with a dry erase easel. We can stop wasting chart paper! Think of all the trees that would be saved.
I am asking for a magnetic dry erase easel, markers, and cleaning spray which will be used everyday in my classroom. This magnetic dry erase easel will meet the needs of all the different learners in my class. It is beneficial to the visual and tactile learners. What fun it would be to read and learn by seeing bright colors and feeling magnetic letters and numbers! This easel promotes student participation. Students love to feel as though they are taking part in the lesson. My class will use this easel during whole group, small group, and individual learning times. This will make a difference in our learning environment.
With your help, we can make my classroom a greener environment! You will make it possible for my students to participate more easily in all subject areas. No more wasting chart paper! No more wobbly metal easels! We could learn and work together in a greener environment!
