Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are finishing up the year and are looking forward to learn how to create cars out of recyclables and see how far they can go. We are also measuring how much warmer it gets without trees and shade.
It is important that my students continue to learn to reduce, recycle, and reuse to take care of the environment.
Many students are learning about the low water levels in our desert, the reasons why we need to take care of our natural resources, and natural disasters just to name a few. By using water bottles my students will see the importance of not buying water bottles. By using sanitizer they will see that at times its important to conserve water.
Learning to read and seeing the importance of using eco-friendly materials will be useful in continuing to grow as caring and responsible citizens. They will be getting treats to celebrate the end of the school year.
