My Students

Do you know how long it takes to set up a laptop and projector with 25 students waiting eagerly to see a video? My students have watched me move tables and plug in plugs between class periods in order to get ready. The cart would be a time saver.

I have 25 curious and energetic students in my first grade class.

We are a public elementary school which consists of local children and military dependents from our community. Our classroom is unique. It is located in a pod, which means that there are four other classes that are only divided by two walls. The students must learn to work in this environment. Everyone tries to support each other in order for us to achieve our goals from day to day.

My Project

The multimedia cart will be a wonderful gift. When we get this cart, students will no longer have to clear their table so I can place the laptop and the projector on it, then move the table to a section on the rug. This all needs to happen before we can even begin our lesson. Whether it be watching a video through the laptop and projector or using the projector as an overhead, having the media cart will be a time saver for all of us. Also, at times the whole grade level comes in my section of the pod to view educational videos and lessons.

The multimedia cart will not only be a time saver for setting up the laptop and projector, it will give me more time to work with the students directly.

I feel with technology changing so frequently, the students need more time using and seeing different types of equipment being used.
