Hello! Head Start is a program for low income children and families, yet we can always use some extra assistance. Being in a funded program, sometimes the money doesn't stretch as far as you would like it to. In our classroom, we teach 18 three-, four-, and five-year old children.
Our children thrive when they have different activities that expand their thinking.
They are active, fun-loving kids with minds that absorb everything they see and hear. We would love some new materials to aid in expanding their thinking in science, math and reading.
My Project
Our students love expressing themselves through art. Our classroom is in need of art materials, such as paint and paper to express our students' creative natures, stampers and stamp pads to have fun with art, and chalk boards and dry erase boards to practice writing and drawing using different mediums. These items will allow our students to be creative in their own way.
Art is not just about colors; it's about so much more!
When children are helping one another with art projects, they not only gain knowledge of the materials they are using, but they are also gaining social skills.
