Recycling- Saving our Environment

My Project

We talk about recycling all the time but for my students sometimes it is hard to see how it helps our environment.

One way we can show recycling is by recycling cardboard.

The tools I have requested are safe for my students to use. With these tools they can make things that will be reused over and over. We have close connections to farms and dairies in our area. We can make feeding boxes and gardening boxes that can be composted later for the soil.

At school we take agriculture classes and help raise baby animals. The cardboard we use can be used for feeders right here. They also help with the gardening and I want to make starter boxes out of the cardboard for them to use.

Since the screws are plastic we can recycle them over and over again to use to construct our new things.

I am so excited about adding this to our life and vocational skills class.
