My Project
We live about 100 miles away from the mainland. Maintaining our small 2 mile by 4 mile island is imperative. Allowing students to take lead in setting up, collecting, and maintaining a recycling program will instill a feeling of pride and ownership. I have partnered with a company that has supplied us with large sacks to recycle specific materials. We will start small and get clubs and teacher buy in. These bins will be strategically placed in rooms where teachers and students can monitor materials. Students will focus on how humans impact their environment, both bad and good.
