Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The chomp saw is a child safe saw that allows for smooth edges and organic shapes to be cut out of pieces of cardboard and similar materials SAFELY. Cutting cardboard is an exhausting task even for adults or older students, and scissors often end up broken from the force needed and repetitive use. Students often get discouraged but these tools would change the game.
With these tools students are able to not just imagine what they can create with recycled materials, they are better able to execute them and bring their ideas to life.
Makedo tools are also essential for joining cardboard, cutting smaller pieces, and creating perforated lines for folding. The 360 kit has a variety of these tools that can support students construction of recycled sculpture in combination with the chompsaw.
