My Project
Thank you for showing interest in this Donors Choose project. I would love to introduce art projects to my students that have a positive impact on nature and their surrounding.
Each year in art class we end up having a lot of construction paper scraps, I would love to give students supplies to recycle those scraps.
The paper making screens will allow paper scraps to have a second life. Students will be able to see real life applications of recycling and reusing. Those papers will be used in future projects. I would also love to make seed paper with the recycled paper. Students can create art that can be planted and grow wild flowers or milkweed to benefit pollinators. Bee cups and flower pots for pollinators are also projects that I planned. I want to make ceramic bee cups and flower pots with students. Glaze would be used to make a "food safe" finish for the bee cups and pots.
