Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a first grade teacher at a public school. My students are excited about learning and want to excel in school. I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. My students come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs.

My students are sweet.

They are excited and ready to learn, explore, and take on the world. They are excited from the time they get off the bus in the morning to when they leave at night.

We are looking to be better stewards of our Earth. We decided to start with the copy paper we use in the classroom. We found Staples Recycled Copy Paper. For the remote we use for our Smart Board, we found some Power Alkaline AAA 24pk Batteries that don't use harmful materials . We also found a book about reusing materials we already have to get us started at home and school. As we set the example for others to follow ,these small steps will hopefully spread to others.
