This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive learning environment in which they can thrive. In our class, our goal is to give our all every day.
My students are sweet, smart and hardworking.
They deserve the very best that this world has to offer. I can't wait to watch them achieve their hopes and dreams!
My Project
My class would love to start a recycling program at our school. These stackable bins will help my students be able to organize all the different material types. I always tell my students that we have to take care of our planet, because we are not getting a new one. By allowing them to recycle, they can now have a hand in saving the planet. My students can share this message with other students at our school, and hopefully we can start a movement that will raise awareness for recycling. Helping my students will in turn help our planet. Protecting our planet is a key to the future.
