Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The LEGO building glasses will help students engage in an activity where they will use Legos to represent a Roman god or people of the Viking Age. The students will engage in a unit about the body. The x-rays will support the ideas and theme in our unit. The Solar System resources will support our Space unit. Students will learn about the Sun, Earth, and our Solar System. They will read about people like Dr. Mae Jemison and learn what it is like to visit/live in Space. Students will use the STEM kits to find and learn about gemstones and their connections to the Solar System. The magnetic blocks will help students build places on Earth, in Space, and/or imaginary places they may read about in their reading units. The TPT gift cards will help me get resources that will support our ELA units on Space, the human body, Ancient Rome and Viking Age. I will be able to get thematic posters and anchor charts and resources that will help my students gain a better understanding of these concepts.
