This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are vibrant. My students are energetic. My students are diverse. They are passionate, enduring, and have the future at their fingertips. My students contribute to their school and community.

My school falls under Title 1 which means the majority of student are eligible for free or reduced lunch due to their economic status.

Despite financial difficulties, the students push through. They want to provide a better life for themselves, and they are working hard to try to get there. They want to develop life skills that will allow them to move forward in life.

My Project

Swimming, like many other sports, is very demanding on the body. In order for swimmers to be their best, they need to adequately recover between races. This is a part of the training that helps them be better. This is the second year that our swim team has been active and we still need items to help give our athletes the best in training and recovery.

Help bring this project to life in order to provide my student-athletes the ability to properly recover and ultimately improve their skills.

The Massage Roller Ball and the Muscle Roller Sticks will be used by student-athletes to work out any cramps that may result from training and racing. This will allow them to put in maximum effort. The Eurmax 10 x 10 Pop up Canopy, Eurmax Universal Upgraded Water Weight, and Portable Sports Bench will allow the swimmers to comfortably have a location to recover from and wait for their next race. In swimming this is very important as the sun can easily fatigue the athlete. With proper coverage, the student will have time to reevaluate their strategy and improve their timing. The Healthy Bar Snack Mix and Nature VallFtey Fruit & Nut Chewy Trail Mix will give the swimmers a snack to help them keep their energy up. Lastly, the Folding Wagon will help us take the supplies from location to location with ease.
