This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have specific learning disabilities and their reading frustrations are often demonstrated through inappropriate behaviors. With recorders, my students can improve their basic reading skills and also improve their reading fluency. By recording themselves while reading, they can review previous recordings and note how much progress they've made. They will be even more motivated to practice their reading if they see that they are making progress.

Some of my students struggle to demonstrate expected behaviors in school settings.

The social skills books we need will help them learn acceptable behaviors. If my students demonstrate expected behaviors, they will be able to stay in class and actually learn.
