My Project

Second grade is an important year for our students. It's the first year they are introduced to instrumental music. This is the year they start laying the foundation for band in fourth and fifth grade. The knowledge base that they build by learning how to play the recorder will be the building blocks for everything to come.

The students will also be able to hold school-wide performances as well as community performances.

These performances are vital for many different reasons. They act as self-esteem builders for our beginner instrumentalists and they get to see the fruits of their labor.
