This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our district goal is for students to read and comprehend increasingly complex text in all content areas including music. Our district goal is to make sure students demonstrate cognitive skills, think critically, and problem solve in each content area as well.
Learning to play and read the recorder will definitely provide students will the critical thinking and problem solving skills needed to decode, decipher ,understand, and then perform music notation.
We are requesting One-Piece Translucent Soprano Recorder with Baroque Fingering.
Families at our school typically don't have the funds to provide students with their own recorders so the support from Donors Choose would provide students the experience and opportunity needed to enhance their musically abilities.
