Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Resources such as games that inspire connections, healthy relationships, and resiliency will help the students that I work with on a daily basis.

Students often ask to spend time in my space, because they have learned the power of connection and recognizing times when they need a safe space to reset.

Sometimes it's a quiet space. Sometimes mindul coloring helps. Sometimes it's focusing on time with the sand tray. Sometimes it's simply quite conversation prompted by a card game.

Students quickly learn that this is a safe space where they will be empowered, listened to, and offered a variety of ways to reset so that they are ready to learn and meet success.
