My Project

This project seeks to address the historical underrepresentation and misrepresentation of diverse voices in literature by providing resources and opportunities for authors from marginalized communities to share their stories. Through your support, I hope to empower these voices and create a more inclusive literary landscape in my classroom that accurately depicts America today.

This summer, I will vet these text options to revamp texts traditionally taught in high school American Literature courses.

By supporting this project, donors will play a crucial role in reshaping the narrative landscape of American literature, ensuring that the voices and stories of marginalized communities are not only heard but celebrated. Through education and empathy, we will empower the next generation of readers and writers to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in both literature and society at large.
