My students live in a small community in Central Ohio. Over 56% of our students are living in poverty. Our school, like others, is trying to provide our students with the best education possible and help set them up for lifelong success. We have been doing this by trying our best to teach to different learning styles, by individualizing learning and incorporating technology and project-based learning whenever possible.
My school has recently switched to a hybrid educational model to engage, challenge, and enrich our students in the learning process through technology and project-based learning curriculum.
Students are constantly changing and so are we.
My Project
We have been so lucky to be have received materials to start an after-school robotics club. I can't even explain to you how excited the kids are to work with these robots. Many of them even come and work with them during their lunch periods. I am so thankful to be able to introduce my students to the STEM world and hopefully spark lifelong interest in the science field. As the students are working with their robots we are in need of replacement materials. We need batteries to charge our robots and screwdrivers to open up battery packs. We also need shelving to store our robots on. We have also realized that we are missing the bluetooth cubelet that would allow us to run our robot from the app. Please consider donating to our project!
